Sarasota Attractions

Sarasota is consistently top-ranked for its arts and cultural attractions. Just a short drive from Venice, Sarasota is home to many galleries, museums and other cultural amenities. You'll discover charming restaurants, gardens, and world-class shopping, in addition to the fabulous Selby Library and a hidden gem for art lovers, the Ringling College Library.

Yes, Sarasota is popular with many Venice residents who pop up the Tamiami Trail to augment the events scheduled by our own art center, theatre and symphony. While we are proud of our own organizations, the resources available in nearby Sarasota make Venice that much more attractive as a year round or seasonal residence.

Venice is a unique and wonderful place to live, and Sarasota makes it that much more fabulous.
